Sheds by Lifetime Products
Outdoor and garden products need to be reliable, sturdy, and attractive. Lifetime has created a new line of outdoor sheds and garden sheds that surpasses all the other sheds on the market!
Through exhaustive consumer research and studies of the competition, Lifetime discovered that every outdoor shed and garden shed has a few great features, but significant weaknesses. We eliminated all of those weaknesses and combined the best features into one complete package.
No longer will stains mar the floor of your outdoor shed. Garden sheds do not have to be a confused jumble of hoses and rakes. Above all, plastic, vinyl, and resin sheds do not need to be flimsy! The outdoor sheds and garden sheds produced by Lifetime use integrated steel supports to weather rain, snow, and wind beyond anything you imagined a resin shed could do.
Lifetime has created the outdoor sheds and garden sheds that consumers have been waiting for. The Lifetime shed is ideally designed... For the Way You Live!

Shed Design: What Makes a Lifetime Shed Better?
Appearance
Until now, choosing an attractive outdoor shed meant giving up durability and ease of maintenance. Wood sheds are the most attractive, but they are also the most expensive and high maintenance sheds you can buy. Metal sheds are less attractive but easier to maintain, except in extreme weather conditions, where they are subject to rust, buckling, and even collapse. And durable vinyl and plastic sheds, with their rubbery appearance and texture, are just generally unappealing.
Sheds by Lifetime overcome these issues by incorporating resilient metal and molded polyethylene into wood-grain textured wall panels, simulated shingles, and stunning natural colors that complement their surroundings. Contrasting shutters, doors, and trim provide visual interest. Best of all, our backyard sheds require almost no maintenance, maintaining their beauty year after year with minimal effort.
Usability
No one wants a dusty, dimly lit garden shed that you have to crouch down to get into, that feels stuffy and hot, that has rampant spiders and wasps in the corners and eaves. Sheds by Lifetime come equipped with standard features that prevent all of these problems.
For daytime, windows and a skylight provide ample amounts of natural light. At night, the battery-powered touch light makes finding things easy. Screened vents provide airflow while keeping pests and rodents out. The high-pitched roof and wide doorway mean you never need to feel crowded, even when parking a riding lawnmower or storing large patio furniture.
Security
As people become more careful about locking their homes and garages, theft from storage sheds is on the rise. With often weak door and window hinges on the sheds, poorly attached hasps, and breakable windows, locks may not enough to protect your stored items.
Security for storage sheds lies in strength. Sheds by Lifetime use steel-reinforced doors with full-length steel-pin hinges. The doors' steel internal latching mechanism is an integral part of shed. The windows are shatter-proof, high-impact plastic. Once you lock your Lifetime shed, you can feel confident that you are protecting your valuable stored items.
Customization
Are you the do-it-yourself type? Or do prepackaged sheds just never fit your needs? Sheds by Lifetime come with a range of customizable features and shed accessories to fit even the most unique requirements. Our outdoor sheds are available in a variety of sizes, making them perfect for garden sheds, tool sheds, and self storage sheds. If you can't find the right size of shed, you can make the shed the right size using our custom expansion shed kits.
The steel-reinforced shelves can be easily installed wherever you need more shelf space, and can support your heavy tools with ease. Alternately, high-quality pegboards and peg strips with steel tool hooks can be used to hang larger items. Radius shelves provide storage space in the corners, and additional battery-powered lighting can be added in any of the predrilled holes, without requiring wiring or outlets.
Shed Construction: Engineering a Lifetime Shed
Materials
Sheds by Lifetime combine the strength of steel with the flexibility and durability of polyethylene to create our truly unique sheds. Lifetime Products manufactures nearly all of the components necessary to construct the sheds. This "vertical integration" means that we avoid expensive external suppliers, giving us a tighter control over product quality and cost.
Lifetime's high-impact polyethylene is a proprietary mix that makes our outdoor sheds stronger, lighter, and more durable than wood. Formulated with UV inhibitors to withstand extended wear and the harshest elements, our polyethylene will not crack, chip, or peel. All of Lifetime's polyethylene shed parts go through a proprietary cooling treatment just after the molding process to allow nominal shrinkage before assembly. This ensures that the part is sound and rigid before packaging, preventing excess warping and stress to the plastic. The bond at the parting line (blow-molding seam) in all of the shed parts is the result of proprietary process that makes the seam thicker than the rest of the plastic wall, providing the strongest seal available.
The steel used in our sheds is fabricated directly from raw coils into high-tensile strength bands. Any exposed steel parts are coated with our proprietary powder coating. The powder coating has been painstakingly tested with abrasion, adhesion, and environmental tests, making the exposed steel parts more resistant to chips, scratches, and regular wear-and-tear. It also makes parts resistant to corrosion and protects them from UV-damage.
Production
Our sheds are made up of independent wall panels, roof panels, and a floor. Every wall panel on the Lifetime storage shed is reinforced with solid steel. The steel is inserted into the polyethylene panel, protecting it from weathering and rust, as well as providing a sturdy foundation that adds strength and stability to the walls. In addition, the double density polyethylene construction improves rigidity and keeps the panel flat so there are no sags or soft spots.
Roof panels are produced in much the same way as the wall panels, with the addition of integrated steel trusses. These trusses provide unparalleled roof strength and support. The final section is the special high-impact polyethylene floor, which is designed to be shock resistant and easy to maintain. The floor is resistant to oil, solvents, and stains and features a slip-resistant surface.
Assembly
With Sheds by Lifetime, assembly is simple and fast. The sturdy shed pieces are built to fit together, reducing the likelihood of seams and gaps. The included screws are designed to provide superior contact, ensuring that the screws stay secured.
Durability
With all the care and detail put into the manufacture of our outdoor sheds, of course they're durable! Every piece is UV resistant, protecting the shed from the harmful effects of the sun. The polyethylene will not warp, chip, crack, fade, or melt. No painting is ever necessary, inside or out. Thanks to the powder coating, the exposed steel parts will not rust. The overall design, including the high-arched roof and steel-reinforced walls, make Sheds by Lifetime the most durable, weather-resistant sheds in the world.
Warranty
All Sheds by Lifetime are made in the USA, something that is very important to us and to our customers. We fully back that quality by offering the best warranty in the business — A 10-year warranty that covers everything on the shed, top to bottom.
Choose Your Perfect Shed!
Here at Sheds by Lifetime, we are certain that we can supply you with your perfect outdoor shed. To help in your selection, please answer these few questions:
- What will I be using the shed for?
- How much space do I have in my yard for a shed?
- What price range am I interested in?
1: What will I be using the shed for?
What you use the shed for will determine what size of shed you need. Do you need a storage building for holiday items and house overflow? How about a garden shed to store tools and a lawn mower? Perhaps you need a tool shed for storing woodworking or car maintenance tools. Or you would like a workshop. Or a playhouse.
For general storage sheds, we recommend looking at your current need for storage space and increasing it by 25%. This will ensure that you can reach your items easily, and you can also accommodate future storage. Any of our sheds are suitable for storage; the size depends on your needs.
Garden sheds or sheds for storing recreational vehicles need to be large, with a wide doorway. We recommend our double door design, so that you never need to back out or into the shed. Other appropriately sized sheds are our standard 8x10 shed and our 8x12.5 shed. We also offer shelving units and pegboards.
Sometimes you have oversized items that need to be stored, such as patio furniture and grills. Our larger outdoor sheds are ideal to accommodate these items. Take a look at our 11x13.5 shed or our 11x11 shed. If you still need more space, we offer shed kits and extension kits.
Just want to a store a few small tools? Our small sheds are perfect. We offer the 8x5 shed, the 8x2.5 shed, and the 11x3.5 shed. These sheds work great with our pegboards and pegstrips for hanging tools.
2: How much space do I have in my yard for a shed?
The amount of space in your yard that you are willing to dedicate to a shed is an important consideration. Of course, it may be as easy as saying, "I have space for a small garden shed against the house" or "I can fit a larger storage shed in the corner." Sometimes, though, the amount of storage space you need exceeds the amount of space you have for a shed. Using the high ceilings and custom shelves available in our sheds will make it possible for you to squeeze more items into a smaller space.
3: What price range am I interested in?
Our sheds range in price from well under $1000 to over $2000, with many prices in between. Buying from BuyLifetime.com means you are buying direct from the manufacturer.
